YOUR WORDS, YOUR CHOICES

Privacy & browser data.

Here is what this site keeps, what it sends, and what you can control. No website account is required.

Your writing

The Gratitude Jar saves notes in this browser when storage works. They are not uploaded by the jar or synced to another device. The Art of Noticing notebook and What Is Woo reflection do not deliberately save writing across visits. Your browser may restore form text. Copy or download anything you want to keep.

Browser storage is not a private vault: this website does not encrypt it, and another person using the same browser profile may read it. Scripts allowed to run on this site can technically access this storage. Do not use these pages for sensitive medical, financial, or identifying information.

Current versions use IndexedDB, a database inside your browser, for atomic note and pick-history updates. Compatible older localStorage records move automatically on first use. Later additions left by an older tab are reconciled before each update; conflicting copies remain available in a recovery backup. Older compatibility snapshots are retained because deleting them could erase a simultaneous write from an older tab. Removing a note removes it from the active jar; a retained older snapshot or already-open tab may still contain a copy until full site storage is cleared. If older storage is temporarily unreadable, an already-migrated jar remains usable and displays a warning; an unreadable first import is not replaced with an empty jar. Refresh older open tabs after an update. Browser settings must clear this site’s full storage, including IndexedDB, to erase all saved copies.

Your Woo history

Pick Your Woo keeps message IDs and basic selection state in this browser to avoid repeats. It does not infer your feelings or create an account. Different browsers, devices, private sessions, and cleared storage have separate histories.

Email drafts and sharing

The homepage forms prepare a draft for you to review and send from your email service. Preparing a draft does not send a message or subscribe you to a newsletter. Sharing and downloading happen only when you choose them. Once you send an email or share through another service, that service handles the information under its own policies.

Pageview analytics

WooWooish uses Umami Cloud to understand which pages are visited. The site filters analytics to pageview information, excludes URL query strings and fragments, and reduces referring URLs to their origin. It does not add your notes, form answers, Woo selections, or custom button events to analytics. Basic technical information, such as browser language and screen size, can accompany a pageview.

The tracker does not load when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. If your saved preference cannot be read, analytics stays off unless you explicitly allow it. Only the public pages listed in the site navigation are eligible for pageview reporting; unknown URLs and preview pages are excluded. You can also turn off pageview analytics here. An opt-out stops future pageview reporting; it does not erase earlier reports or hosting logs.

JavaScript is needed for this preference control. Without JavaScript, the analytics script does not load.

Hosting and third parties

GitHub Pages serves these files and may process technical request information. Umami Cloud receives allowed analytics requests. External links, your browser, installed extensions, and your email or social apps operate separately from this site. Blocking analytics does not stop the requests necessary to load a webpage.

Keeping and removing data

Use Download a backup in the Gratitude Jar before clearing data. Browser settings can remove this site's stored jar entries, Woo history, and analytics preference. This does not erase files you have downloaded, clipboard copies, emails you sent, or social posts you approved.
